At Buckingham Primary Academy we are proud to support both national and local charities.
This academic year the Parents, Pupils and Staff have supported and donated to the following national charities;
Macmillan Coffee Morning
The Poppy Appeal
This year’s supported local Charities are;
Emmaus - Harvest Festival
Dove House Hospice- Rudolph Run
We will be raising funds for Dove House Hospice on Friday 13th December with a new and exciting event, the Rudolph Run! Instead of sponsorship forms being sent home for pupils and parents to collect money we will send out a ParentPay letter over the coming weeks and ask for a donation of £2.00 per pupil. This event will include reindeer antlers and Rudolph noses for all children taking part to keep, don't forget to wear your Christmas jumper too!
We also have other fundraising events which directly benefit our own pupils and the wider school community;
Bags 2 School
Other charitable events that we will take part in and promote to children but not ask for donations are;
Odd Socks Day
Christmas Jumper Day
World Book Day
(To name a few!)
We pride ourselves on providing the best possible experience for all of our pupils which is why we take part in but don’t ask for donations for some charitable events.
Other charitable events get lots of national coverage which is why we sometimes have to make a decision to not take part in those, particularly at busy times of the year or when we have lots of in-house activities taking place. This is to ensure the sustainability of the range of educational visits and school activities we offer to pupils as we ask for contributions from parents. These contributions help the school fund and also mean we can do exciting things like treat each year group to a free visit to the panto in December! (Letters will be sent out soon).
